My Story & Mission

MathWithScott was created to help students overcome frustration and confusion in math by offering personalized, one-on-one online tutoring. My mission is to build confidence and improve understanding by breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps — supported by clear explanations and real-world examples.

I specialize in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB/BC, Linear Algebra, and college-level math, bringing both tutoring experience and classroom teaching experience with 9th–12th grade students.

My background teaching high school engineering often meant breaking down the math behind real-world projects, which shaped my practical approach. I help students understand not just how math works, but why it matters — all delivered online, so students anywhere can access the support they need.

How Each Session Works

  • Personalized instruction

Every session is tailored to the student's current class, skill level, and specific goals.

Complex ideas are broken down into clear, understandable parts at a pace that works for you.

  • Practice & feedback
