Every session adapts to your learning style so you can build confidence and succeed in high school or college math.
I design lessons that match your pace, goals, and current coursework — whether you're in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, or Calculus AB/BC.

Engineering-grounded examples help abstract concepts click. When students see math's real-world relevance, understanding follows naturally.
Step-by-step guidance and patient instruction so you can tackle problems with confidence and see real improvement.
MathWithScott was created to help students overcome frustration and confusion in math by offering personalized, one-on-one online tutoring. My mission is to build confidence and improve understanding by breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps — supported by clear explanations and real-world examples.
I specialize in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB/BC, Linear Algebra, and college-level math, bringing both tutoring experience and classroom teaching experience with 9th–12th grade students.
My background teaching high school engineering often meant breaking down the math behind real-world projects, which shaped my practical approach. I help students understand not just how math works, but why it matters — all delivered online, so students anywhere can access the support they need.
Engineering background, teaching experience, and over a year of private tutoring experience — all focused on making math make sense for every student.
I work with high school and college students who want to strengthen their math skills, build confidence, and improve problem-solving.
High School
Foundational skills, equations, functions, and problem-solving strategies — a solid base for all higher math.
High School
Trigonometry, advanced functions, and preparation for Calculus. I help students bridge the gap confidently.
High School / AP
Limits, derivatives, integrals, and full AP exam support to help students earn the score they're aiming for.
College
Vector spaces, matrices, determinants, eigenvalues, and eigenvectors — essential tools for higher-level math and engineering courses.
College
Tailored help for general education math, business calculus, and related courses at the college level.
Every session is tailored to the student's current class, skill level, and specific goals.
Complex ideas are broken down into clear, understandable parts at a pace that works for you.
Students work through problems with guidance, correction, and encouragement throughout.
After each session, I provide a Word document covering the problems, key steps, and equations we worked through — so you can review and practice independently.
At the end of each session, we choose the date for the next meeting together. If you’re on a package plan, I take care of scheduling the follow‑up session for you so your tutoring remains consistent and stress free, with no additional payment or extra steps on your side.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session with more than 24 hours’ notice, just let me know. I’ll take care of updating the calendar and processing any necessary refund through Stripe so everything stays simple on your end.
